A privileged balcony facing the immense north-west face of Monte Civetta.

Rifugio Tissi stands at 2,250 metres near the top of Col Reàn, in a position that makes it a natural balcony directly in front of the immense north-west face of Monte Civetta. From here you enjoy one of the most impressive views in the Dolomites: the great rock wall rises in all its majesty, while the eye spans from the Marmolada to the Sella, from the Lagazuoi to the Tofane, all the way to the Pale di San Martino and the Agner, with the village of Alleghe and its lake more than a thousand metres below. Opened in 1963 at the initiative of the CAI Belluno section, the hut has also housed since 2005 the wooden cup of Georgian mountaineer Mikhail Kerghiani.

It is reached on foot on an excursion that usually starts from the Alleghe area, along trails that climb towards the Coldai and then turn towards Col Reàn — a section shared with Alta Via 1. The kitchen serves dishes from the Veneto and Dolomite mountain tradition, ideal for a rest after the walk. With around sixty beds, the hut is much sought after by those wishing to watch the sunset over the Civetta face and spend the night in an unforgettable setting, when the evening light transforms the great wall into a canvas of colour.
