leDolomiti.it is an independent guide to the Dolomites: valleys and villages, trails, mountain huts, things to see and practical advice for planning a trip, in Italian and English.

What we cover

We map the Dolomites the way you actually travel them: by valley and by village, with the trails, the huts where you stop or sleep, the sights worth the trip and the practical guides on when to go, how to move and where to stay. Every place page links to the ones around it, so you can build a real itinerary and not just read a list.

How we work

Facts first. We check roads, seasons, opening times and access against official sources and, where we can, on the ground, and we say plainly when something is worth it and when it is not. We write in plain language, keep the pages up to date, and note when access or prices need checking for the current year.

How we use artificial intelligence

We use artificial intelligence as an editorial tool: it helps us structure texts, draft them and cross-reference large amounts of open data. We say so because we think readers are entitled to know, and because since 2 August 2026 the European regulation on artificial intelligence asks for transparency on this.

What artificial intelligence does not do, and will not do: decide what is true. Every figure we publish comes from a stated source and carries the date we checked it. Information that changes, such as the state of the passes, hut openings or access rules, we check at the source or by phone, and when we cannot verify it we write that instead of filling the gap.

Editorial responsibility for what you read remains entirely ours, text by text. If you find a mistake, write to info.ledolomiti@gmail.com: we correct it and update the date of the check.
