Every mountain hut in the Dolomites, by altitude and valley

This is the list, not the story. Each row carries the altitude, the valley and how many beds there are, so you can compare them before opening a single page.

Altitude matters more than it looks: below 2,000 metres you almost always arrive on a short walk or a lift, above 2,500 the climb is an outing in itself and the hut becomes the destination. Beds tell you something else again: where there are none, you go up and come back the same day.

How sleeping in a hut works

Booking, what to pack, what half board costs, the sleeping bag liner and the house rules: everything this list leaves out is in the guide.
