The giant slalom on the Gran Risa, one of the most feared walls of the World Cup. A late December classic in Alta Badia.

The Gran Risa, above La Villa in Alta Badia, is one of the symbol slopes of the giant slalom. Its steep, icy wall is a very tough test and every year offers a great show just before Christmas.

The 2026 edition is planned for 20 and 21 December, with the giant slalom on the first day. On the eve, 19 December, an Opening Party opens the racing weekend.

For the public it is one of the most heartfelt events of the winter. The finish fills with fans and the slope offers panoramic spots along the course to follow the champions up close.
