Italy's most famous cross-country ski marathon, 70 km between Val di Fassa and Val di Fiemme. Thousands of skiers from Moena to Cavalese.

The Marcialonga is the best known cross-country ski marathon in Italy. The classic course is 70 km and crosses the villages of Val di Fassa and Val di Fiemme, starting from Moena and finishing in Cavalese.

The 2027 edition, the fifty-fourth, is planned for Sunday 31 January, following the tradition of the last Sunday of the month. The skiers climb the valley up to Canazei and then head back towards Val di Fiemme.

The most awaited moment is the final climb of the Cavalese waterfall, the famous Mur de la Stria, with gradients close to twenty per cent. This is where the crowd gathers to push the competitors towards the finish.
