A hut on the Col Raiser plateau, at the foot of the Odle, reachable by gondola lift.

Rifugio Firenze — which still carries its historic German name Regensburger Hütte — sits at 2,037 metres on the Alpe di Cisles, on the broad Col Raiser plateau at the foot of the Odle group in Val Gardena. It is one of the oldest huts in the valley: built in 1888 by the Regensburg section of the Alpenverein, and after South Tyrol passed to Italy in 1921, its management was entrusted to the CAI of Florence, which gave it its current name. The position, immersed in pastures and looking out over the spires of the Odle and the nearby Sassolungo, offers a wide, open setting typical of the northern Dolomites.

It can be reached comfortably by the gondola lift from Col Raiser, making it accessible even to those who are not up for a long hike; alternatively, you can walk up along the plateau trails, also starting from Selva di Val Gardena. The kitchen offers Ladin and Gardenese flavours, best enjoyed while admiring the Odle profile. With a good number of beds in both rooms and dormitories, the hut is an excellent base for exploring the Puez-Odle Nature Park and for staying overnight in a panoramic setting — catching the morning and evening light over one of the most beloved mountain groups in the Dolomites.
