In the Dolomites the 2026/27 winter season starts at the end of November. Among the ski areas that have already published their dates, the first to open is Obereggen, on Friday 27 November 2026. The next day Kronplatz, 3 Zinnen Dolomites, Val di Fiemme and San Martino di Castrozza open. On Friday 4 December it is the turn of the Sellaronda and the valleys around the Sella. The last to close, again among those with published dates, is Arabba/Marmolada, on 18 April 2027.
Here you will find the dates ski area by ski area, each with the source we took it from, checked on 17 September 2026. Where a ski area has not published them yet we say so, and we give last season's dates only as a reference. Ski pass prices are in the Dolomiti Superski ski pass guide, and the differences between one area and another in the ski area comparison.
The 2026/27 dates at a glance
The list follows the order of opening. The dates come from the area-by-area table of Dolomiti Superski, the consortium behind the single ski pass, and from the official sites of the ski areas and tourist boards. Where the two sources do not match, you will find it explained in the sections below.

What "opening" means
For Dolomiti Superski the official winter season starts when the Sellaronda opens. The consortium adds that some ski areas, or single lifts, may open earlier depending on the weather. That is why the late-November dates only apply to some areas.
An area's date does not apply to all of its lifts. In the Dolomiti Superski table the Val di Fiemme/Obereggen area opens on 28 November, but in Obereggen the first lifts start on the 27th. Carezza closes on 29 March, while the rest of the Val di Fassa/Carezza area runs until 4 April. Last season Funivie Arabba had announced three lifts open until 19 April 2026, twelve days after the scheduled closing of the Sellaronda, and four more until 12 April.
The closing date is not a promise either. Dolomiti Superski states that the end of the season may differ from one ski area to another and that continuous operation of all slopes and all lifts until the official end of the season cannot be guaranteed. The Val Gardena site uses the conditional: the lifts "should remain open" until 4 April. The Val di Fassa tourist board warns that in strong wind or heavy snowfall cable cars and chairlifts may close without notice.
Which lifts and slopes are open today is shown on the Dolomiti Superski lifts page, area by area, with the number currently running. Check it on the morning you set off, not only on the day you book.
Around the Sella: Val Gardena, Alpe di Siusi, Alta Badia, Val di Fassa, Arabba
The four Sellaronda valleys open together, on Friday 4 December 2026. The Val Gardena site says that the lifts of the valley and of the Sellaronda will be open from 4 December 2026 and should stay open until 4 April 2027. The same dates apply to the Alpe di Siusi, which forms one ski area with Val Gardena. The cable car from Siusi up to the Alpe, on the other hand, starts its winter service on Saturday 5 December and runs until 4 April.
Alta Badia publishes the same dates: 4 December 2026 to 4 April 2027. In Val di Fassa the tourist board gives 4 December 2026 and 4 April 2027 for all the valley's ski areas: Belvedere-Col Rodella, Buffaure-Ciampac, Catinaccio and Carezza, as well as Alpe Lusia and Passo San Pellegrino-Falcade.
For Arabba and the Marmolada the dates are published only by Dolomiti Superski: 4 December 2026 to 18 April 2027. In mid-September the Funivie Arabba site still showed only the summer timetable, and the Marmolada cable car's site had no dates for winter 2026/27 yet.
The Sellaronda opens on 4 December 2026 and closes on 4 April 2027, according to the Val Gardena and Val di Fassa sites. On 17 September the Dolomiti Superski ski tours page still showed last season's dates, 4 December 2025 to 7 April 2026. The route in both directions, the timings and where to start are in the Sellaronda ski guide.

Val Pusteria and Bressanone: Kronplatz, 3 Zinnen, Rio Pusteria
Kronplatz opens on Saturday 28 November 2026 and closes on Sunday 11 April 2027: the latest closing among the South Tyrol ski areas that have published their dates. Its prices page calls the period up to 19 December the pre-season. Slopes, lifts and altitudes are on the Kronplatz page.
The 3 Zinnen Dolomites site, in Alta Pusteria, gives the ski area as open from 28 November 2026 to 4 April 2027. In the Dolomiti Superski area table, on 17 September, 3 Zinnen still had the 2025/26 dates. On the page listing the single lifts, however, 16 of the 18 lifts listed for Monte Elmo (Helm), Stiergarten and Croda Rossa (Rotwand) were already shown as open from 28 November 2026 to 4 April 2027. The valley is on the Val di Sesto page.
For Rio Pusteria-Bressanone, the area that includes Gitschberg Jochtal, the Plose above Bressanone (Brixen) and the smaller areas of Velturno, Luson, Terento and Val di Funes, Dolomiti Superski gives 4 December 2026 to 4 April 2027. In mid-September the Plose and Gitschberg Jochtal sites still showed only the summer season.

Latemar, Val di Fiemme, Carezza, San Martino and San Pellegrino
Among the ski areas that have published their dates, Obereggen is the first to open. On Friday 27 November 2026 the first lifts start at 8.30am, and in the evening the Obereggen-Ochsenweide gondola stays open from 7pm to 10pm for night skiing. On Saturday 28 November more lifts open, along with the slopes that lead to Val di Fiemme. The season ends on Sunday 4 April 2027.
For Val di Fiemme the Dolomiti Superski area table gives 28 November 2026 to 4 April 2027. On the page listing the single lifts, however, those of the Alpe Cermis above Cavalese are shown as open until 11 April 2027. In mid-September the Alpe Cermis site still showed the dates of the 2025/26 season: before you count on the week after 4 April, check there.
Carezza, between the Latemar and the Catinaccio, opens on 4 December 2026 and closes on 29 March 2027 according to its own site, with the same closing date in the Dolomiti Superski lift table. The Val di Fassa tourist board page instead gives 4 April for all ski areas, Carezza included: of the two dates, it is wiser to go by the earlier one.
For San Martino di Castrozza and the Rolle Pass, Dolomiti Superski gives 28 November 2026 to 4 April 2027. In mid-September the San Martino tourist site only published the summer lift timetable. Alpe Lusia and Passo San Pellegrino-Falcade open on 4 December 2026 and close on 4 April 2027 according to the Val di Fassa tourist board. In the Dolomiti Superski area table, on 17 September, Alpe Lusia-San Pellegrino still had the 2025/26 dates, but on the page listing the single lifts those of San Pellegrino and Falcade were already shown from 4 December 2026 to 4 April 2027.

Still without dates: Cortina, Civetta, Madonna di Campiglio
For Cortina d'Ampezzo there were no 2026/27 dates on 17 September 2026. The Dolomiti Superski table still showed those of the Olympic winter, 5 December 2025 to 3 May 2026, and the Cortina Skiworld consortium site still had the 2025/26 prices. Slopes and lifts are on the Cortina page.
The Civetta ski area, with Alleghe, Selva di Cadore, Palafavera and Val di Zoldo, had not published its new calendar either. According to Dolomiti Superski, the 2025/26 season ran from 29 November 2025 to 6 April 2026, and the Ski Civetta site still showed that winter's price periods.
Madonna di Campiglio is not part of Dolomiti Superski. In mid-September the site of the SkiArea Madonna di Campiglio Dolomiti di Brenta only published the summer closing dates: Grostè and 5 Laghi on 13 September, Spinale and Pradalago on the 20th. There was no sign of the winter dates. In the 2025/26 season the Dolomiti Superski season pass gave five extra days in the Skirama Dolomiti Adamello Brenta ski areas, including Madonna di Campiglio and Pinzolo. The village and its skiing are on the Madonna di Campiglio page, the area on the Brenta Dolomites page.
The First World War Ski Tour (Grande Guerra), the other Dolomiti Superski ski tour, is also still without dates: 80 kilometres around Col di Lana. Last season it was open from 23 January to 22 March 2026. None of these sites says when it will publish the new dates. If you need them to book, check the Dolomiti Superski table again for Cortina, Civetta and the Grande Guerra, and the SkiArea site for Madonna di Campiglio.
Ski passes and early-season offers
The ski pass options, from the day pass to the season pass, and how to save are in the Dolomiti Superski ski pass guide. Here the calendar is what matters. Kronplatz has already published its 2026/27 price periods, for the Dolomiti Superski pass as well: pre-season from 28 November to 19 December 2026, high season from 20 December to 9 January and from 31 January to 20 March 2027, regular season from 10 to 30 January and from 21 March to 11 April. For the Kronplatz pass the high season ends earlier, on 13 March.
Before you buy in advance, bear in mind a rule stated by Dolomiti Superski: buying a ski pass carries no right of withdrawal, as provided by articles 47 and 59 of the Italian Consumer Code. A day pass is valid only on the day shown. Anyone who bought single-area ski passes in the 2022/23 to 2024/25 seasons can, under certain conditions, apply for a discount voucher or a refund from 15 October 2026: how it works is explained in the guide to Dolomiti Superski ski pass refunds.
For the first weeks there are offers tied to the start of the season. In Val di Fassa, Dolomiti SuperPremière runs until 19 December 2026 for guests staying at a participating property: four nights for the price of three and four days of skiing for the price of three. The ski pass must be bought by 16 December and is valid until the 19th at the latest. In Val Gardena the Superpremière runs from 3 to 19 December 2026 and includes four nights, four days of ski pass and four days of equipment hire for the price of three. The overall picture, from slope levels to when to go, is in the guide to skiing in the Dolomites.
