Figures and altitudes

The lift consortium of Cortina, San Vito di Cadore, Auronzo and Misurina groups eight companies and states 120 km of slopes, 35 lifts, more than 70 runs, 13 of them black, and 95% snowmaking coverage. There are five areas: Faloria-Cristallo and Tofana-Cinque Torri-Lagazuoi in Cortina, plus San Vito di Cadore, Auronzo and Misurina, which are separate resorts with their own lifts.

The counts depend on who does them. For Cortina alone the consortium gives 100 km, while Cortina's official tourist website gives 66 runs served by 26 lifts. The Dolomiti Superski winter lift list for the zone had 33 entries for the 2025/26 season.

The highest point served in winter is the Lagazuoi, where the cable car from Passo Falzarego arrives at 2,752 m, at the Rifugio Lagazuoi. The lowest is in Auronzo, where the Monte Agudo chairlifts start from Taiarezze at 900 m. Cortina lies at 1,224 m, and the Freccia nel Cielo gondola and the Faloria cable car leave from the town centre.

The slopes and who they suit

There are 13 black runs. On the Faloria: the Vitelli, an Olympic run, the Canalone Franchetti, the Stratondi, the Bigontina and the Scoiattolo. On the Tofane: the Stratofana Olimpica, which hosts World Cup races, the Vertigine Bianca, the Labirinti, the Col Drusciè A and the Forcella Rossa. In Auronzo the Fedo and La Pala, in San Vito di Cadore the Ciastel.

The consortium publishes some figures. The Vertigine, the men's course at the 2021 World Championships, is 2.5 km long with an 805 m drop and gradients of up to 62%. The Scoiattolo on the Faloria starts at 2,054 m and runs for almost a kilometre, with gradients of up to 55%. The Olympia delle Tofane hosted the 1956 Olympic downhills and the women's alpine races of the 2026 Games.

Relaxed skiers have the Super 8, a figure-of-eight tour around the Averau and the Lagazuoi: 16 km of long, easy runs, according to the consortium. At the Cinque Torri the Lino Lacedelli is an intermediate run over 1,200 m long, from about 2,160 down to 1,900 m. At Ra Valles the Bus Tofana chairlift serves natural-snow runs between 2,200 and 2,700 m.

The Armentarola starts from the Lagazuoi and runs 7.5 km down to Alta Badia; on the last flat stretch you are pulled along by horses.

Getting there and where to leave the car

Cortina has no railway station: by train you go to Calalzo di Cadore or Dobbiaco and continue by bus. Details are on our Cortina page and in the guide to the Dolomites without a car.

There are two ways up from the centre. The Freccia nel Cielo gondola goes to Col Drusciè, stopping at Colfiere, and from there a cable car continues to Ra Valles; the Faloria cable car climbs to the Rifugio Faloria at 2,120 m. The Col Drusciè gondola, opened on 11 January 2020, has 10-seat cabins and carries 1,800 people an hour.

If you ski down to Alta Badia on the Armentarola, the Armentarola-Passo Falzarego ski bus takes you back up to the pass; Dolomiti Superski lists it among the zone's lifts.

In the 2025/26 season the consortium named four car parks from which to use ski buses and lifts: Acquabona, the Rio Gere-Faloria chairlift, Bai de Dones at the Cinque Torri and the Lagazuoi cable car. The ski bus was included in the ski pass for its whole validity, thanks to a contribution from the Comune di Cortina, and a QR code at the stops gave live times. Ski passes

With the Dolomiti Superski pass you ski here and in the other eleven areas: how it works is in our Dolomiti Superski ski pass guide. The consortium also sells a valley pass, valid across Cortina, including the Skyline and the Lagazuoi down to the Armentarola, and in San Vito di Cadore and Auronzo-Misurina: 120 km in all. Day passes and multi-day passes of up to 7 days are also sold at the lift ticket desks; season passes and passes for more than 7 days only at the ski pass offices (in Cortina at Via Marconi 18, and in San Vito and Auronzo) or online. On the Dolomiti Superski website you get 5% off if you buy at least 2 days in advance.

The consortium's 2026/27 prices are not out yet: its website still shows the offers of the 2025/26 Olympic season.

Beginners and children

The consortium names four family areas: Pocol in Cortina, the NeveSole park in San Vito di Cadore, the nursery slopes of Auronzo and the Col de Varda slopes at Misurina. On the Tofane there is also the Baby Socrepes chairlift.

At Misurina the double chairlift climbs from 1,756 to 2,106 m, to the Rifugio Col de Varda. At Auronzo Monte Agudo has two chairlifts, one of them a detachable quad, from Taiarezze to the Rifugio Monte Agudo at 1,573 m.

In the 2025/26 season the consortium gave free ski passes to children under 8, one per paying adult and for the same duration, with exclusions for some products such as the 10-days-of-your-choice pass. For more ideas, see our guide to the Dolomites with children.

Beyond downhill skiing

On skis you can visit the Great War open-air museum, which the consortium describes as covering more than 5 km across the Lagazuoi, the Cinque Torri, Sass de Stria and Forte Tre Sassi. The Lagazuoi also has the Lagazuoi Expo Dolomiti, an exhibition space opened in February 2018.

At Col Drusciè the Helmut Ullrich astronomical observatory opens to the winter sky with the Cortina Stelle association. The Cima Gallina stronghold can be visited on snowshoes with a mountain guide.

For snowshoeing the consortium also suggests Ra Valles at sunset and the military positions at Col Gallina. From Misurina, on snowshoes or skins, you can climb to the Rifugio Col de Varda and carry on to the Rifugio Città di Carpi or Malga Maraia; the consortium recommends checking weather and snow and relying on mountain guides. Links to other ski areas

The Cortina Skyline gondola, with 52 ten-seat cabins, links the Tofane (Son dei Prade) with the Cinque Torri (Bai de Dones). According to the consortium, it is the lift that lets you reach and ski the Sellaronda, the Super 8 and the Great War Ski Tour.

Great War Ski Tour: 80 km across three provinces, on the slopes of the Lagazuoi, Cinque Torri, Arabba, Marmolada and Civetta areas, via Passo Giau, Passo Falzarego, Val Badia, Arabba and Alleghe, all around the Col di Lana. It combines runs, lifts and ski buses; the consortium estimates 7 to 8 hours including lunch and recommends starting when the lifts open. In the Dolomiti Superski 2025/26 calendar it was open from 23 January to 22 March 2026.
